Tile Shower Designs

Tile shower design offer an alternative to plain walls and enhance the appearance of the shower making it a more enjoyable atmosphere. Instead of the traditional shower enclosure units add decorative tiles and make the shower a work of art.

Tiles are available in different sizes designs colors and materials. For the smaller bathroom it is not advisable to use the larger tiles since the size of the bathroom will appear smaller and overwhelmed. Use small tiles in small locations to create a paradise with colorful designs or decorative strategically placed coordinating tiles. For the larger bathrooms avoid selecting tiles that have too small of designs or decorative designs as they will be lost within in the large room.

For the shower tiles there are glass tiles that are becoming more popular. The mosaic tile effect is created by using small square glass tiles in a variety of coordinating colors to create a special effect. The glass tiles are often made out of recycled glass making them more earth-friendly. Glass tiles are the mid-range style of tile. They are durable and long lasting requiring little upkeep or maintenance.

Another type of tile is subway tiles. This is the most common type of tile in the bathroom showers used for many years. The tiles are sturdy durable and provide clean-lines and low maintenance and up keep of the shower unit. They are most cost effective since they are less expensive than the glass tiles.

Granite tiles are often seen in kitchens but can be used in the bathroom or shower area. A granite tile in the shower creates a lavish appearance and regal atmosphere with sophistication. Granite tiles are the most expensive tile for any purpose. They are made from natural stone or rock or fabricated yet both type of granite are expensive due to the manufacturing and processing of the materials.
